Here's a little progress picture for you on the Guest Room redo. You may remember this post showing the "before" and "during" photos. Amazing what a little paint can do. And a little straightening up.

It looks so warm and comfortable. Can I come and be a guest?
Wow!! Are you sure this is the same room? I would love to stay in this guest room. I can't wait to see more!
Wow, it looks so welcoming! Your guests are so lucky :-)
Beautiful ! I love the paint color. I have a similar shade of brown in my living room and it looks so great with white furniture and your natural elements. Great job like always.
Incredible, completely perfect for cosy reading spot! Where did you get that chair? I would love to have one just like it.
How warm and welcoming this space has become! I love the composition of the stacked books, it makes it feel like a piece of art. Beautiful!
Gosh. What a perfectly delicious colour on the walls. Like melted chocolate. I love it!
Love the colors--great room, so embracing. The shelves with the trunk really work to ground the space.
I always love to see your home. Looks like the guest room may be booked for a while. Is there a waiting list?
I like the wall color a lot! The room has a "woodsy" feel to it...real nice.
stunning Katie! Your home is going to make this years tour worth every penny and more.
I am working on a living room with very similar coloring, so you know I love this! can I be a guest?????
Oooooh, lovely! Talk to me about that end table. Did you make it?
gorgeous!!
Oh that's nice - I love the paint color. Good job! *thumbs up*
oooh, the drama! and brown is tough to choose, isn't it? It can be too red, too green, too muddy...ugh! this is perfect. a nice, rich cocoa brown. space looks very dreamy now!
I really like the look of the space. it's begging for a good book to be pulled off the shelf!
This room is soooo inviting. The brown give it warmth and the chair just screams comfy.
Looks great ot me...can't wait to see more :)
love the shelves!
The etageries and the books laid "common sensibly" remind me so much of the great Albert Hadley, but the unexpected touch of the natural log look and the cozy chair make this a room I'd love to spend time in. I love it when a guest room can make me at home and delight me at the same time. I love the trunk atop. What is the delicious whiskey color of the wall? Katie, can't wait to see more!
All of the homes on yesterday's Home Tour were great. Your home, though, was the belle of the ball. The rooms were even more spectacular than the photos in your blog suggested. Each room was clean, crisp, inviting- and every room a knockout! My sister said she had never been in a home so airy and spacious. I agree. My favorite room was your office suite. I loved the orange and green Chinese rug, lacquer boxes, ikat pillows, New Mexico watercolor and French doors. What a pleasure it must be to work there. Thanks so much for the peek (and the champagne).
Thank you all so much! I love this color with the crisp white. I had a coupleof questions about some of the furniture: the chair is from IKEA and very sturdy and comfortable. I have had it for awhile, so not sure if it is still available. The table is an antique American Indian storage bin turned upside down. I love the metal patch on the side. I saw a similar in the latest Elle Decor magazine from Vagabond Vintage from their "Quick Fix" round-up.
Thanks again everyone! I will try and get some pictures of the rest of the room soon. I keep trying and they are not turning out very well.
And I would LOVE to have you all as guests!
Love this room. Who makes the lovely bookcases?
Feels cozy and relaxing....how back logged are you? haha
Your site is really looking good Katie.
Hi Katie!
Unfortunately, I was not able to make the tour. However, my partner and several neighbors on my block did and all raved about your home. As I predicted, they were all blown away by your design. Many commented that it was the best home they've seen not just this year but since they've attended the home tours. My partner Dan couldn't stop talking about your impeccable taste. It made me proud to say I knew you first..yay! I'm sure this event will bring you lots of recognition and business. Congratulations.
Hi LIMOM!
Those bookcases were from Crate and Barrel a few years back. I do love 'em.
Hi JC! Always love a visit from you! Thanks so much for the kind words. :)
Hi Julio!
Awww! I am blushing! It was such a fun day! And I was keeping a look out for you! We will have to arrange to get together soon. ;)
I love this room. I want to curl up in that chair and read a great book. I also like how you arranged the books. Take care!
